Consultation has concluded
Hawkesbury
City Council will be undertaking a community consultation project from May
2015. The purpose of this project is to help Council design communication and
education programs and assist Council to develop a greater understanding of the
community’s attitudes, awareness and behaviours in relation to waste and
recycling.
The broad objectives of this consultation
project include the following:
To understand residents’ reception and
response to waste promotional activities
To understand the community’s
motivations and barriers towards waste and recycling practices
To understand factors that encourage
or deter learning and action, for example preferred communication channels and
activities
To improve waste education and
community engagement
A
random telephone survey, as well as an online survey via Council’s Engagement
HQ forum have commenced.

Hawkesbury City Council is currently undertaking a resident
survey into recycling and waste reduction to better understand the community’s
views. The survey takes only a few minutes and any answers you provide are confidential.
The information gathered through this survey will help Council to better
educate the community about recycling and waste reduction.
Hawkesbury residents who complete the survey are eligible to go in the draw to win a $250 Coles Myer Gift Voucher.(Only one entry permitted. Must be Hawkesbury residents to go in draw.)
