Deerubbin Park Masterplan - Public Exhibition
Consultation has concluded
The draft Masterplan for Deerubbin Park, Cornwallis, is now available for public comment. This plan provides a long term vision for the park which will improve the general amenity, functionality and capacity of the site. The plan is consistent with the purpose of the park and ensures that the recreational, cultural and environmental values of the park will be retained.
Some of the opportunities that have been identified include:
Improving the connection to the Hawkesbury River
Upgrade and realign sporting fields
Improve access
Improve parking
Establish a park Core which centralises activities
Creation of a dog off leash area
Increase shade
Improve site identity and wayfinding
As this is a guiding document, its main purpose is to ensure that any future works within the park will be consistent with the overall vision for the park. It is not anticipated that the development of the park will be completed in the short to medium term.
The plan in Attachment A in the document library on this site shows the draft Masterplan document.
