Proposed Works:

The existing double swing is proposed to be replaced with a small play space containing 2-3 play items with mulch softfall and flush concrete edging. The bollards along the front of the reserve will be extended to the side boundary and a seat placed between the bollards and the play space for supervision. Supporting infrastructure such as a bin and bubbler will be provided near the amenities building.

    Freemans Reach Consultation Summary

Total number of surveys received 51.

Majority of people currently use the multipurpose courts, play on the swings or to use the toilets. Ideas to improve the playspace included (but not limited to) update and increase the size of the play equipment, install fence, and provide seating.

Overall we received a large range of great play ideas, these ideas will be incorporated into the final design, the designs will look to balance both the communities input and the budget available for the upgrade.

Next steps: Council Officers will be developing designs incorporating your feedback over the coming 3 months and we will present the final design by early 2024. Construction is planned to commence early to mid-2024.
