Draft Hawkesbury Community Strategic Plan 2017 - 2036
Consultation has concluded
The Hawkesbury Community Strategic Plan was originally adopted by Council in 2009 and reviewed in 2012. The latest review of the Community Strategic Plan provides a unique opportunity to review the overarching vision and strategy for the Hawkesbury to ensure it reflects the community's aspirations, and that the strategies are measurable. In preparing this Community Strategic Plan, we have listened to what the community has said it wants and taken into account the outcomes of the following reports*:
In reviewing the Community Strategic Plan, Council and the community have to consider:
- Where are we now?
- Where do we want to be?
- How will we get there?
- How will we know when we get there?
The Hawkesbury Community Strategic Plan sits above all other Council plans and policies. Its purpose is to identify the Hawkesbury community's priorities and aspirations for the future. The strategies within it should take into consideration the issues and pressures that reflect the community and the level of resources realistically available. Given this, the significance of the Community Strategic Plan to the community and to Council is of the highest order, and ensuring that it is reflective of the Hawkesbury community's aspirations is viewed as critical.
The Draft Hawkesbury Community Strategic Plan 2017 - 2036, as adopted by Council on 13 December 2016, is now available for community consultation and a copy is available in the Document Library on this page.
