The construction of a second, non-vehicular bridge over Rickabys Creek at Hawkesbury Valley Way will provide a shared-path crossing linkage between the shared path from Richmond to Windsor – completing this off-road cycling and walking route.

This cycleway project will support Council's vision of providing improved and diverse recreation options for residents and visitors as well as catering for active transport users.

Please note Hawkesbury Valley Way is a State road. The design will be further refined during the detailed design phase as additional investigations, transport approvals, site constraints, and more mature cost estimates are confirmed.

The Cycleway Path Bridge over Rickabys Creek is funded through the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.

    Council is inviting the community to 'Have Your Say' on the proposed concept plans for the Rickabys Creek Shared Path.

    Please note Hawkesbury Valley Way is a State road. The design will be further refined during the detailed design phase as additional investigations, transport approvals, site constraints, and more mature cost estimates are confirmed.

    Community consultation will be open from Friday, 16 January to Thursday, 12 February 2026. Please complete the survey below before 11.59pm Thursday, 12 February 2026.

    Submissions can be made via the survey tab below, or in writing addressed to the General Manager, Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756. Written submissions will be received until 5pm on Thursday, 12 February 2026.Enquiries regarding this matter should be referred to Council's Property Officer on (02) 4560 4444 or by email to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au

    Should you lodge a submission, it will be considered, along with any other submissions received and may be included in Council’s meeting business paper.
